Huge congrats to our first Morley Athlete of the Month for 2017, Kelly McMillian! Kelly came back from a foot operation and never stopped her training. This fit Mum always attacks things with a positive attitude and turns ups with her son Harry. Kelly never makes excuses about training and is super super strong! How long have you been at Morley: 3.5 years
What do you enjoy doing outside of CrossFit? Finding decent coffee and spending time with my son, friends and family.
What is your favourite and least favourite movements or WODs? Anything involving running or burpees.
What your biggest achievement so far? Sticking with the same gym for 3.5 years and getting handstand push-ups.
What are your future goals? To get better at everything gymnastic and not dislike running.
Who’s your box buddy? My son Harry has been my box buddy and major distraction for the last few months.
Why did you start CrossFit? I started CrossFit to get moving again after not having done much for a while after having a baby. To lose some weight and get fit.
What do you love about Access Morley? I like how welcoming everyone is regardless of whether you are fit or a complete beginner. I like the coaches and the people that go to Morley.
Any advice for anyone just starting their CrossFit journey? Just give it a try. I never expected to enjoy it, let alone still be here several years later.
