Huge congratulations to Matt for taking out the January athlete of the month! It has been awesome to watch Matt start CrossFit with a real desire to improve his fitness and technique, and focus on his own personal journey. Matt has become Mr consistent, he never gives up, will always finishes a workout not matter what. Matt is a real pleasure to Coach and have in our community, and we also love to see Matt train alongside his wife Sam! We cant wait to watch Matt achieve many of his goals this year and will be just as proud as he is when it happens!

How long have you been at CrossFit Access? 6 months
What do you enjoy doing outside of CrossFit? 4wding and camping
What is your favourite and least favourite movements or WODs? Favourite is back squat and least favourite probably deadlift.
What your biggest achievement so far? Being able to do a handstand against the wall.
What are your future goals? Would love to be able to do pull ups.
Tell us something we don’t know about you. No matter how full i am, i will always make room for ice cream.

Why did you start CrossFit?
I Started crossfit to help me finish my rehab on my knee after ACL replacement surgery and to improve my overall fitness.
What do you love about CrossFit Access?
I love Access because of the quality coaching we receive, the encouragement and support to get through the tough WODs from the other members.
Any advice for anyone just starting their CrossFit journey?
My advice would be to focus on your own training and aim to be better than you were the week before.
