Massive congratulations to our Athlete of the month for May, Jon Newland Jon has returned to Access after a little time away and has come back more determined than ever!!! His dedication to his training combined with consistancey has seen Jon hit personal best after personal best. Lets get to know them a little better: Favourite movement: Bench Press Latest PB: Rope climbs & 135kg deadlift Likes: I like improving myself, and being able to do something I couldn’t do before, or believe I could never do e.g. Rope climbs, that’s what keeps me coming back, next HSPU! Ultimate WOD: Any of the hero WODS, love the stories behind them, makes you want to do your best for their sacrifices Why did you get into CrossFit I wanted to do something different to the normal gym, which is fairly boring and not very motivational and an atmosphere that encourages you to do better and to have people to share and celebrate achievements. The camaraderie, the support and encouragement of the coaches, and the intense WODS (most of the time) I hate running!
