Potential… Where’s yours at? Dang it, here we go again, maximising human potential.
So many firsts for so many people recently! They come thick and fast at CrossFit Access. Because we always work towards you finding the Athlete within! And what do athletes strive to do – MAXIMISE THEIR POTENTIAL!
Here’s what I see when I walk past your gym –
You on a leg press machine – taking your core and your stabilisers out of the equation
You doing front shoulder raises, then side shoulder raises – wow, all that time spent on one teeny, tiny body part (no wonder you feel the need to go on the treadmill!)
You waiting in line for the lat pull down machine (but hey, perfect time to take a selfie to post on Insta if you are that way inclined!)
You looking sheepish and unsure when the area you want to use is filled with a Bro-Group – they don’t just take up the equipment, they don’t let anyone else in their pretty boy mirror space either!
You spending 30 minutes on a treadmill – going nowhere and likely burning muscle (other factors dependent) rather than building it so you can get that toned look you want.
To sum it up – I see a waste of time and money! And while it annoys me to see you wasting these things, what really, really, sux more than any of that, is that none of these things that I have seen are helping you realise let alone MAXIMISE YOUR POTENTIAL!!
